Huntingdon County residents and businesses enjoy easy access to all major forms of transportation. The area’s extensive road system makes getting around easy, with access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, at Exits 180 in Fort Littleton and 189 in Willow Hill, just 40 miles away. The Tyrone Exit 48 for access to Interstate 99 is only 20 minutes away from Huntingdon.

Heavy freight trains pass though the area along Norfolk Southern’s main East-West Line many times each day. The Amtrak station in Huntingdon provides economical passenger transport between New York City and Pittsburgh on “The Pennsylvanian.”

The County is served by a number of domestic and local airports which are within a 100-mile radius. Altoona-Blair County Airport in Martinsburg is the closest site for the majority of Huntingdon County residents. Southern Airways Express offers flights to major hubs Baltimore (BWI) and Pittsburgh (PIT) for as little as $29.00.
